Morrisburg was partially inundated during construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1957. The original station, built by the GTR 100 years earlier, was demolished and replaced with a 1950s-style structure. The tracks were realigned north of the town site. The building is still owned by CN and remains in use for railway purposes.
