The Prescott GTR station was built in 1855 by the engineering firm of Peto, Brassey, Jackson & Betts. It was later used by CN, followed by VIA Rail until around 2000 when rail service to Prescott was cancelled. The station has been restored and is now home to the Grenville County Historical Society.
